Mailing Lists

It seems like creating one should be stupid simple. Am I missing something that seems really basic? Or is this something that github decided wasn't worth doing, since there are so many other options available?

(edited) Considering how difficult it was to create this basic link, I'm almost positive I'm missing something that's probably really obvious.
