So I've been trying to install High Sierra on my Go 2. But I couldn't get it to install, I've tried the Online and Offline method. The farthest I got was with Offline. I installed it the first time and then the second time without formatting. I went through the installer progressbar portion, then reboot and it disappeared from the OpenCore menu. The things that work (at least in the installer, not the full list):

  • Battery percentage
  • Touch screen, Type cover
  • Wireless networking (you have to replace AirportItlwm with High Sierra version)
  • Graphics acceleration

So if anyone has anything to say, go ahead and reply!

I'm really sorry for issue spamming, but I fixed it. You need to set Min version and MinDate to -1 in UEFI - APFS key.

Okay, I've completed the installation and... Graphics acceleration and Wi-Fi do not work at all in installed OS. About this Mac is showing the correct model name (UHD 615) but only 9MB of VRAM (I know this means no acceleration). I think that macOS is not loading the WhateverGreen and AirportItlwm kexts. But this theory will need to be verified. Peace ✌️

I've installed Mojave, and everything works (WiFi with HeliPort, Graphics with WhateverGreen) but hibernation does not work. After I wake I get a black screen with he backlight on, and if I force restart it says the computer restarted because of a problem.

@summerboard505 Sorry for the late reply, I didn't notice this thread until today.

Thanks for letting us know that older versions of macOS can be installed quite successfully on the SGO2.

As I can't keep track of every version of the OS, the aim of this repo is mainly to make sure everything is working as perfectly as possible on the last known good version of macOS on this device (macOS 13 Ventura). Then I'll try my best to make it work as perfectly as possible on the latest version of macOS, which at the time of writing is macOS Sequoia. The latter works beautifully on the SLGO2, apart from the limitations inherent to the use of itlwm.kext to drive the wifi chipset at the moment.
