Since some weeks I cannot use Plex anymore because of the error shown in the image. The error first occured while using the app normally, ever since it always occurs after opening the app.

I am using the latest beta version from app store.
My car: Polestar 2 2022

I tried the follwoing:

  • delete app cache
  • delete app data and re-login
  • completey remove and re-install app

Nothing worked, obviously.

I am still not sure if there is something wrong with my car or the app.
Is there any way I can debug the problem?
Thank you!

I'll try and see if I can guess what's happening, but my only thought if it worked and then stopped and is also broken after a reinstall is that maybe something on the Plex server changed?

I'll have to test with the latest Plex version to verify if it still works

Hello,
Thank you very much for your reply!
I debugged this a bit on Server-side and it seems, that there is a problem indexing the music.

For now, it looks like the app crashes at startup because of this. I will try to fix this and give feedback then.

Nevertheless Plex AAOS could give an appropriate error 🤣 Nah, no front. ❤️

Hello there!
I can finally say I'm an AAOS user so I found this amazing app for Plex
Well... unfortunatly I ended with this same error after less then a week of usage of this app 🥲
I've already tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling from 0, but now I'm unable at all to use Plex over my car 😐
Is there any update on this issue?
Reading this it's opened since almost a year, I feel a bit worried there's still no fix

I just reverified that the app works fine for me.

Some potential issues to check:

  • The time on my emulator was incorrect, causing SSL errors, so maybe check the date/time on your car
  • Verify that you're on the latest Plex version, I just tested with 1.41.1.9057
  • Ensure that remote access is enabled and functional

You can also go into apps, clear data for the app to start fresh. To force the app itself to reload, just open any other media app (Bluetooth Audio, Spotify, ...) and switch back and it'll reload.

The last comment on the issue indicates that the actual issue was on the user's server, no changes to the app were needed to make it work.
