Extension gets locked even without password

Describe the bug
I set up the extension without any password. But when I want to access the extension, then it says it is locked and I need to enter the password even though I haven't set one.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Install the extension
2. Set up the extension without any password
3. Wait one day or just restart the browser, idk (I experienced it the day after setup)
4. See error

Expected behavior
Just show the 2FA Codes without any PW lock.

Same problem here. This seems to only affect extension setup after the last update. I've got one browser instance where I had the extension configured before without lock, wich does not have this problem, but on another PC I setup the extension later and run into this.

I'll look into, makes sense its only the latestest version, I made some changes to the auth system and must have missed this in my testing.

Uhh I think it also was after the update, not sure though. I switched to Zen just a few days ago, but I also had the issue on my Firefox. I think I had some issues with the extension there, and thus reinstalled it. Maybe the issue already was this lock-out, I can't remember anymore, sorry.

No, I'm using Chrome (Version 127.0.6533.72)

I've been trying to reproduce this for the last 3 weeks, I'm running the extension (2024.8.0) without a password on Chrome and Firefox on both Ubuntu and MacOS, I've put it through OS updates, browser updates and multiple complete pc restarts and have not been able to.

@BLACK4585 @richard-kramer are either of you still experiencing this issue?

I just reinstalled the extension and will see what happens in the next few days.

Okay, few days later and the extension is locked again 😂

I just reinstalled the extension again to test it, even wrote something in the PW field and then deleted it to make sure there are no accidental white spaces.
Restarted the browser, locked out again xD.

@BLACK4585 I've not been able to reproduce this issue on my end, I've tried on both Mac and Linux without success. I'll dig into it again over the Christmas break and see what I can find.

Maybe try it with Zen Browser, but I don't think this should be the issue.
