sound not playing in iPhone. it's working in safari mac book but sound not playing in iPhone.
in chrome and android working as expected

Same issue here on iPad. Issue on iOS devices only ? seems correct on safari desktop

Might be a silly question but is your phone in silenced mode (i.e. The switch on the side is orange)?

A lot of sounds don't seem to play on my phone unless my phone is unsilenced, so this could be why?

The same happened to me, I developed a lofi site that when I click to play and the iphone is in silent mode it does not play.
