Pyobjc isn't something most Gtk-based projects would use, but that aside Google doesn't find anything informative with "pyobjc crash libffi 3.4*". Is this documented anywhere?

Sorry, I should have updated this PR.
I have no idea what fixed things in the end, but I merged your updates and also updated pyobc to the latest and now it loads without crashing, at least on arm64.
I will try to test this again on amd64 and re-open + investigate if necessary.
