"Say the Words" activity - how to use

After pressing the blue "Push to talk" button, it turns red as expected. When i speak, there is a sound wave visualising the speech input. Still, after I finish saying the word, nothing else happens. The red microphone button is still there but there is not apparent way for me to say "I am done here, I already said the word".
