PHP 5.3 and 5.4 have a copy of php-fpm.conf in php.ini. This is totally wrong.
PHP 5.2 is fine.

I don't think so. I just stopped using MNPP and installed Nginx and PHP-FPM manually.
good idea, i need MySQL too, but shouldn’t be too hard to install
