The statistics overlay in the viewport is barely readable because of the light background.
I made it black under 3D Viewport > Theme Space
It still has a dark outer glow that makes it look fuzzy currently, but can't find how to change that.
I understand that in other contexts the viewport background can change to dark. Is there an option for a background color of that text? Maybe it could be plain dark text on a rgba(1,1,1,0.5) background.

I see, that sucks. Do you have the skill to submit a patch on developer.blender.org for this? It should be trivial code-wise, but would be a great QoL change for all light themes out there.
