Query service state #74
Comments
That would be great. +1 on the feature. |
Upon checking the forks, I can see that someone has already started implementing this feature recently - https://github.com/NetWatcher/service , although it's currently done only for Windows and Darwin |
Any updates? @kardianos |
GitLab uses forked version of service package that supports querying for status in their CI runner https://github.com/ayufan/golang-kardianos-service |
Okay, open a PR. |
Would be really nice to have a way to query service state - at least whether it's started or not started. I know though that Windows offers several more states (starting/stopping/paused), but I guess most of them are not applicable to other platforms, so at least basic yes/no should help.
