apk not edited after saving

Hello,

I used apk editor studio to edit images in an apk file
done everything correctly, saved it then installed to an android device but got the old app installed.
however when I reopen the same apk file that I edited again in the studio, I get in it the new images!

I looked for solution and tried to resign it but same issue I still get the old app when I install it
