Terminal view has no prompt (Unix)

I'm going to add clarification to this post as a newer developer won't know what this is talking about.

I believe the terminal zeltner was talking about was the terminal view that you see on the IDE. The IDE terminal is a makeshift way to interact with the terminal without opening a SSH connection or using a keyboard.

The terminal doesn't do output very well and I'm fairly sure prompts just straight up don't work. If they do work it doesn't display the prompt and you just have to know that you are answering a prompt.

This is a low priority task as the only people who use the IDE terminal are people who haven't figured out how to ssh into the controller yet. Also most teams that use chromebooks (that don't have means to ssh into the controller) aren't going to need to ssh in.

Is there a default username/pw used to ssh onto the machine? I tried the wifi passwords but that wasn't it.
