Date is lost in the calendar editor

If I create a block in the calendar editor with the start date and end date and then do another action, for example creating an issue, the end date is lost and is set to the start date. As a workaround, it is currently only possible to set the end date and then create a new block as the next action (which can then be deleted again).

Goal: The end date should be retained
