Kiwix PWA is an offline browser for any type of ZIM content. It works offline on any device that can run Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Brave, Edge, etc. In Chromium and Safari, it can be installed as a standalone app (and in Firefox on Android). It has three different dark themes and popovers for ZIM links in Wikimedia ZIMs. There are dedicated Electron apps for Linux and Windows, including ARM64. For Win 10/11 users, an auto-updating version is in the Microsoft Store (Win10/11).
The main changes in this version are: adding accidental reload protection to prevent disconnection of ZIM (can be disabled in Expert Settings), fixes to failures to display certain articles, fixes for reading and displaying ZIMs scraped from the mobile-html API, and a new code signing certificate. See full changelog.
Known issue: in the Electron app, you may need to restart the app twice after update for the internal code to update the Service Worker fully. The notice in Configuration will inform you if you still need to "load" the updated code. Additionally, for new Wikimedia ZIMs from the mobile-html API, article headers can no longer be clicked to open or close (ensure the default setting to "Open all headings" has not been turned off).
