I noticed that the author recognized that this app might stop working after Android 10.

Describe the bug
It's quite prescient, as last week it refused to install on an 8 inch Onn Tablet running Android 11. And today My Samsung S23 Ultra (Running Android 14) complained that HK might stop working.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
On a device With Android, open Google Play and search for "Hacker's Keyboard". Tap on "Hacker's Keyboard" then on "Install".

Expected behavior
Google Play will refuse to install "Hacker's Keyboard", saying it needs to b updated.

The behavior has changed.

  1. The tablet can no longer view Plays Hacker's Keyboard Page. The Install button is nowhere to be seen.

  2. The S32 Phone cannot complete loading Plays Hacker's Keyboard Page. Instead the circle keeps spinning, and never stops. Both Cancel and Uninstall buttons display fine.

This is Google being "dramatic" (anticompetitive) via FUD. HK is working just the same on my Android 12 as back on Android 9. Given HK is effectively EOL (all that text that was there before you filed this "bug"), don't expect any further developments. If you still wish to see for yourself, I provide instructions for known-safe install.

N.B.: In my experience, Android 8 was the last time HK worked flawlessly. If you're willing to put up w/ real (minor) quirks, be our guest.
