Is there some other way to install it that I'm not aware of? I hope this doesn't mean that skhd is no longer supported. It has an integration with an app I use, and I was really excited to get it up and running.

The newest version of command line tools (or even XCode) should work fine.

Installing Xcode with the appstore does not work properly sometimes.

How to install a version of Xcode that is compatible with your version of MacOS:

  1. Go to the apple developer site: developer.apple.com
  2. Sign in to your apple account
  3. Go to "https://developer.apple.com/xcode/" by clicking the search icon in the top right corner and clicking xcode under quicklinks
  4. Press the top right button that says download and select Xcode beta
  5. Search for the version you want or scroll through the list
  6. select view details and download the file
  7. Click on it to extract the app and move that app into the applications folder
