Managed window in grid

I use a bsp layout with a 0.5 split ratio, but for some spaces, I’d like a 1:3 ratio between two specific apps. I know I can achieve this with a grid, but I’d prefer it to be managed so that when an app is alone on the screen, it takes the whole screen, and not just 1/3 or 2/3, and only when it shares the space with another specific app, it splits into a 1:3 ratio. Is this possible?
