On my iPhone on Firefox I'm constantly jumping in and out of the Scrypted configuration web pages as I go through configuring devices or configuring home assistant or just doing a million other things on my phone.
But every time I switch back into the Scrypted configuration/Firefox app it doesn't display where I was when I left it, it displays a 'Connection Interrupted' message and I have to tap the 'Reconnect' button. It then returns me generally to the page I was on before. Generally, but not exactly.
This is super annoying. Of course it lost it's connection - almost every web browser does when it loses focus in iOS and any web page must assume that. It doesn't need to be telling the user that; it could simply reconnect to where you left off without forcing you to do it manually.
There's no value in most users being told that it lost its connection nor any value in forcing the user to manually reconnect. Users don't or shouldn't expect that the scripted web page continued running in the background while they were running something else, and I certainly haven't found any situation where jumping out of the app has lost anything. Perhaps it might lose the data that was in a data field that I hadn't saved yet, but again, that's how all iOS apps work.
There's no value in telling users that it lost its connection and it's just really annoying to be told this every single time you switch back into the app. I don't think many users are even going to understand what this connection is. Users don't need to know about the internal architecture of an app.
It should also return you to where you were rather than to the general page you were on. For example, if you were in the middle of configuring the rtsp stream and had the rtsp details on display in the camera configuration screen, but then jump out for a second to paste the value in another app then jump back in to Scrypted, after tapping on the useless "reconnect" button, you're taken back to the camera screen but it's no longer showing the rtsp details.
