Logo collection

Collection of logos, related to potassco, potassco solutions or university entities, e.g. for use in slides.

Logo file formats for print

It is best to use a vector graphic. For a pixel graphic the resolution should be at least 300 dpi.

EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)

EPS is a standard format for vector files. Other file formats can be can be created from it. EPS files can be scaled without any loss of quality and have a transparent background.

PDF (Portable Document Format)

PDF is a frequently used file format and can contain vector graphics as well as pixel graphics.

Recommendation: EPS format

Logo file formats for digital media

For your website and digital media, use your logo in RGB color mode. It 72 dpi resolution is sufficient.

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics)

SVG files are vector graphics and can be enlarged without loss of quality. The transparent background makes them flexible to use. SVG files are ideal for digital representation of logos, icons and simple graphics.

GIF

Due to its limitation to 256 colors, the representation of complex photos in this format is usually grainy and of low quality. The format masters the representation of layers and transparency.

JPG (Joint Photographic Experts Group)

A JPG file is a pixel graphic. In RGB mode it is suitable for digital media. However, a transparent background is not possible. Also here 72 dpi resolution is sufficient and you should not enlarge the logo.

Recommendation: SVG format

We put the files here under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License Creative Commons License. Note that some of the logos are protected as a trademark, having further usage restrictions.
