Cool! For MAME to support the machines, the ROMS need to be dumped and sent to code @ mamedev.org. A picture of the keyboard layout might also be useful.
Based the French and UK models, there are probably 3 342-xxx ROMs and 1 341-xxx ROM.
Will do it as I get access back to my machine and ROMs (I know exactly which ROMs I need to download, as I also repair and maintain my own machines). About the 341 vs 342, codes might be different (I recently discovered two different //c with the exact same ROM content, but one was labeled 341-xxxx and the other 342-xxxx). I know I need to get the CD and EF ROM, the keyboard ROM, and the character ROM. I'll have access to that machine on Jan 7th.
I upgraded that machine with the enhancement kit many years ago: I have all the ROMs in a box, but unfortunately I can't find the original keys anymore, and I don't know the original layout. I'll try to do my best with my memory, or find a picture of an unenhanced Italian //e (what I remember is that the original was switching between QWERTY and QZERTY layout, while the enhanced is always QZERTY) Other keys might have changed, tho (I'm quite sure a couple of number keys were different, and M was moving in the old layout, and is right of L in the new one).
I have the physical machines, let me know how can I help.
