I've started a fork / branch that is focused on process control, and inter-client communication when process changes happen. Needed to make things a bit more robust, in support of my end-goal, which is Alexa control of patiobar/pianobar.
Still a work in progress, and first focus is on managing the pianobar process (which works). That can certainly be extended to (optional) control of restart/shutdown. Some users may not want to give guests that much power...
Expect I'll be able to create a pull-request focused on this feature area, and hopefully it will be accepted.
I've pushed the changes in over in my fork of @kylejohnson's work that includes the ability to stop or reboot the host running pianobar. It is on a branch 'process-control'. The changes are fairly substantial, so I still need to talk with Kyle to see how much of this he is interested in taking. The UI side is fairly ugly , but functional - I just added some buttons down at the bottom, rather than a menu system.
Please add host management to the hamburger menu so that we could restart/shutdown the Raspberry Pi.
