java 8 missing error message unclear

if java 8 is not installed the error reads "-cp command not valid windows command".

What command were you trying to run when you saw this error message? Also, did you not have java installed at all, or just an older version of java?

When your run the labrad.bat file to start scalabrad on a windows machine without java at all you recieve this error. Im not used to windows and I was helping someone install and this error was kind of cryptic. I think it would be nice if the bat file checked for java and gave a reasonable error.
