Cannot convert undefined or null to object

Command 'Fix Checksums: Apply' resulted in an error (Cannot convert undefined or null to object).
I tried both in administrator mode or not, nothing helped.
Please have a look. :-)

I also faced this problem when I tried to connect to my server with ssh remote. I installed Fix Checksums: Apply into server, and run command "Fix Checksums: Apply".
But it only happened when I connected to remote ssh. Then I tried to disconnect from the server and run the command, it works. Later I tried to connect the server, vscode didn't show the "Your Code installation apperas to be ..." error again.

先断开与服务器的连接，再本地运行命令fix checksums apply，之后重启vscode，成功解决问题！
