Please share any additional details on this topic

During a PowSyBl TSC, we came to the conclusion that we lost some information because of the limited Slack history we have with the free version of Slack.

We would also like to test the workflow automation that comes with the Pro version.

Detail what actions or feedback you would like from the TAC

Would it be possible to get the Slack Pro version through the LFE?

Thanks for sharing this @So-Fras.

Generally we've seen Slack Pro can be cost prohibitive, and we are hearing from members that using Slack is not a tool that aligns with their corporate standards. There are two options:

  • We do have the EVerest community using Zulip - should perhaps we use this? /cc @RobertDeLeeuw
  • Discourse is also popular amongst LF projects, and would provide both chat and forums.

Perhaps we could discuss this during the 12/10 TAC meeting?
