Conflict with Spice of Fabric mod (mixins)

After inspecting the log it seems we're unable to use spice of fabric with metabolism. Not quite sure what cake has to do with it, but it was mentioned on this line:

Though for now it seems I'll have to disable spice of fabric to use your mod, it's sad 'cause it'd be nice to play them both together, if possible.
