Description

Can I use Lima instead of Orbstack to run Docker containers at near-native speed like Orbstack? The regular "Docker desktop" for Macos is very slow, but I'm not sure if it comes from their tech and that what you've built with Hypervisor integration in Lima solves it?

Sure, you can use Lima to run your Docker containers.

The VZ type of VM (where available) is faster than QEMU

https://lima-vm.io/docs/config/vmtype/

But for native you need Asahi Linux etc

Thanks! Do you know how it compares to something like Orbstack? Is it the same?
