Any hope for running style2paints (any version) on macos metal?

I love style2paints, even V1 is fine for my interests. I can still run it on my old mac laptop which I keep offline and haven't upgraded because they deprecated Python 3.5 among other things. I'd love to run it on my new laptop (macbook M1 pro). I've tried building it dozens of different ways by relaxing the requirements.txt file, but I'm forced to use Python 3.9 at a minimum. Nothing I've tried works. I won't bore you with the massive list of errors. Thanks for any advice
