<div>The University of Queensland Computing Society is run by the Management Committee, which is comprised of a number of Office Bearers, as outlined below.</p>
<h2>Core Executive Positions</h2>
<p>These four positions are the required by the UQ Union and the society’s constitution. They are responsible for many of the administration and coordination tasks, including interaction with the UQ Union Clubs & Societies office and relevant UQ schools, such as the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE).</p>

<p><strong>President</strong></p>

<td>
<p>The President is responsible for all the club’s activities and administration.</p>
<p>The role includes chairing meetings, ensuring that all communication with club members is carried out in a friendly and civilised manner, maintaining a relationship with the UQ Union Clubs and Societies office, and fulfilling the society’s obligations to the Union.</p>

<p><strong>Vice President</strong></p>

<td>
<p>The Vice-President is responsible for assisting the President in their duties.</p>
<p>The role includes acting as chair of a meeting if the President is absent, and ensuring the responsibilities of the President (above) are carried out.</p>

<p><strong>Secretary</strong></p>
</td>
<td>
<p>The Secretary is responsible for many of the administration duties of the society.</p>
<p>The role includes ensuring correspondence between the executive committee and the society members, compiling agendas and minutes of meetings, organising venues for events, and responding to communication on behalf of the members.</p>

<p><strong>Treasurer</strong></p>

<td>
<p>The Treasurer is responsible for keeping and maintaining the society’s bank account and financial records.</p>
<p>The role includes keeping cheque and deposit books, receipts, and petty cash; preparing budgets; and ensuring that all authorised payments are carried out.</p>

<p><strong>System Administrator</strong></p>
</td>
<td>
<p>The system administrator is responsible for maintaining the society’s website and technical services.</p>
<p>The role includes becoming familiar with the existing setup of the club’s website and informing the executive on how to use it; performing any fixes if it stops working; suggesting changes or additions, and acting on any of management’s decisions to change the technical services.</p>

<p><strong>General Committee Member</strong></p>

<p>The general committee members are responsible for giving an extra opinion and vote at committee meetings.</p>
<p>The role involves attending management meetings and contributing to discussion and decisions that positively affect the society.</p>
