Though a QGIS issue, may I draw your attention to: qgis/QGIS#53467
There is an (controller AND data) issue in QGIS if the time-offsets in a Netcdf are not ordered or have certain combinations of negative values and zero
Reason I ask here is I do not know the inner details of MDAL, and I'm asking myself if (in QGIS/Provider), it is OK to sort/order the Time dimension? Will the indexes to the data be sorted too?
OR should you sort/flip both (internal) Time arrays and Data arrays, if reordering Time data?
I also want to discuss here (hoping there is some Netcdf authority reading this), IF it should be possible to have unordered (or reverse ordered) Time arrays in a netcdf (of examples see the QGIS issue above).
Thanks for any input
