when I change some pixels in a geotiff raster file and then want to save it (saving it on a regular base so not to lose any data), after a few changes -saves (with export - save as - format geotiff etc..) the changed raster suddenly is just empty or there is only half of the raster left...
Done it 4 or 5 times, spent hours ... frustrating..

Looks to me that the problem is with serval plugin ?:
No problems with saving the geotiff file (4 - 5 times after each other, just as a check) when I do not use Serval to make any changes...
Pity: Serval looks a very fine plugin to me.. also the only one available allowing changing pixel values...

(remark: i had to convert file format from .geotiff to .gif in order to upload the files here: geotiff is not supported here to upload,
file "SNP-reclassified" looks quite different as a .gif, "SNP-reclassified2" is just empty, as .gif or as .geotiff...)

thanks for help/suggestions..

Hi damidb,

Thanks for reporting!
FYI, any changes made by Serval plugin are immediately saved to disk - no need to save it additionally.

What are your Serval and QGIS versions? Your OS?

Finally, I need the original raster file to investigate the problem. If the raster is too big please let me know and I will create a file request on a shared network drive.
