Due to ongoing complications with attempting to make this module perform well, combined with the newer change from Jitsi that removes access to their public server (#98), I am now marking this module as deprecated and will no longer be maintaining it.
I appreciate the fantastic work Luvolondon did on the original module and am glad it has worked for users for some time. Unfortunately, I was never able to get Jitsi to work quite as well as I wanted, and I got annoyed trying to work around problems making it work for this scenario.
Personally, I have switched running all of my games on a newer module that I have written, LiveKit AVClient. This new module, based on LiveKit has been working significantly better than I could ever achieve using Jitsi. Unfortunately, there are also no free public servers available for LiveKit at this time. However, LiveKit is open source and I find the server to be pretty easy to run. I also do run a hosted cluster of LiveKit servers for subscribers of my Patreon. I assure you that this isn't just done to capitalize on the success of this module; running the cluster does cost me money and I need to be able to cover server expenses myself.
If anyone would like to take over maintenance of the module, please feel free to reach out to me on Discord (bekit#4213) - I'd be happy to transfer the project to another developer.
Thanks for using the module - I hope you can continue to enjoy better performing A/V in Foundry using LiveKit moving forward.
