Maximum download becomes limited, seems to be related to garbage collections and CPU overload

Last time I tested this (almost a year ago) this was still happening - on a 1Gb link, the download speed on Safari didn't exceed ~300Mb/s while Chrome and Firefox did just fine. I need to test again on a Mac to make sure this is still happening, and open a new issue on WebKit's bug report if that's the case.
