Can join the session, but the window is not visible

I'm using the 0.2.7 version and the latest steam client.
My friend can join my session and see my screen. But when I press shift+tab, the window giving mouse and keyboard permissions doesn't show up. So I couldn't play it. I tried installing an old version of the steam, but it didn't turn on as it crashed. What should I do to play remotely?
