Hi, today I have grid issues so I'm running in SelfUse / Off Grid mode on my battery. the house and HA are running fine but the Foxess integration is not. Basically all 'dynamic' entities are reporting "unknown" value; only 'Foxess Cloud update' is reporting "unavailable".

Internet connection is running fine and I can see the states and values in the Foxess Cloud app.

Any ideas what could be the cause and how to fix it?

I would need the info that I'm running offgrid to turn off things like my heat pump in such situations.

Debug logs:

FoxESS has Cloud timeout or the Inverter is off-line, connection will be retried in 1 minute

HA version:
Home Assistant
Core
2025.1.2
Supervisor
2024.12.3
Operating System
14.1

foxess-ha version:
v0.4

Are you definitely running integration version v0.4 as the later versions implement the running_state sensor which will tell you whether your inverter is on or off grid ?

@FozzieUK - well, yeah. I've updated it to v0.43 just now but in the meantime the the grid came back again, so no way to test it at the moment. The update did not show up by it self, had to find it manually. Hope it is solved now. Thank you for your answer and sorry for not being thorough enough!

Ok thanks, I think the latest version will work for you, i’m not sure whether the sensor.foxess_inverter will report as ‘in alarm’ when the inverter is off-grid so if you have to run off-grid can you report back whether it works correctly…

when I get home later I'll try to shut off the breakers and see what it will report
