TRV versus Wired thermomstat

madchicken, since a TRV is a generally a battery powerd device and a thermostate can be a mains power device, is there a way to create variations in the builder based on he dictionary entry or is it easier to have a new builder? Examples include:-

• includsion or not of a bettery service
• whether the battery service has a percentage or just a low_battery indivator
• whether theromstat has a running_state, or a position (degree of open or shut), or neither where a comparison of current and target temperature are require to figure out the state

An alternative might be to allow for more specificity through config

Is there a way to use a function like supports in a builder. I tried this evenign but my knowledge of typescript is limited and no getting the right syntax.

I fixed the support function to be able to search multiple level of features. For example a TRV has climate as. feature, and climate also has features. This allows for variation based on the what the device supports, regardless at wall level the features are in the hierarchy.
