Pop-up for custom actions

Would it be possible to have custom actions that asks for user input?
Like UC does on betterbuttons: https://github.com/unclecheese/silverstripe-gridfield-betterbuttons#creating-nested-forms
Perhaps this module and betterbuttons could improve on each other.

Trying to make a function that will move records from one gridfield to another, by letting the user select target object (changing the relation).
