Document Trace Events

I searched and couldn't find any documentation for how to debug or investigate why matches and merges were not happening. After searching through the code I see that there are several SM-MATCH and SM-MERGE trace events. If this is the way we expect Smart Mastering users to get insight into their Smart Mastering application then we should document how to use these trace events. If these are not the best way, could someone please point me in the correct direction?
