First, she introduced new corporate accountability legislation that Vox wrote "would redistribute trillions of dollars from rich executives and shareholders to the middle class -- without costing a dime." 

The simple, yet novel, principle of this bill: If corporations want to claim the legal rights of "personhood," they should be legally required to accept the moral obligations of a person.

One week later -- just a few hours before Michael Cohen pleaded guilty, Paul Manafort was convicted, and Rep. Duncan Hunter was indicted -- Sen. Warren introduced another groundbreaking bill which she called "the most ambitious anti-corruption legislation proposed in Congress since Watergate.”

Sen. Warren's "Anti-Corruption and Public Integrity Act" proposes banning members of Congress, the Cabinet, and federal judges from owning or trading individual stocks; prohibiting ex-presidents, former congressmembers, and former agency executives from lobbying; and banning lobbyists from donating to campaigns as well as foreign lobbying.
