I'm using Litematica mod for Minecraft 1.21.4 on Lunar Client, which uses Fabric. Despite having the correct versions, my game crashes when I only use Litematica. Any ideas on how to fix this. Also to clarify my Litematica, MaLiLib mods are 1.21.4 too.

This also happens to me, worked fine on prior versions. I use fabric through luner client and it says it's incompatible with minecraft 1.21.4 which i don't get what it means.

Lunar has made some large changes to some vanilla code that break Litematica. Unless they fix/change/revert those changes, they won't become compatible.

There is no interest from Litematica's side to try to fix compatibility with launchers that "randomly" make large changes to vanilla code and that would need a ton of time and effort from Litematica's side to try to adapt to. It would be especially frustrating and time consuming since Lunar isn't even open source(?)

Either that, or you just can't use Lunar and Litematica together in the later MC versions.

I contacted Lunar they said there is no way to fix it as its 3rd party mod that is conflicting with lunar client, you just have to use vanilla minecraft or maybe use different client

I also contacted luner and there is a way to make it work and avoid future problems too. I’m pretty sure it’s new because i first saw it like a week ago- there is a new “vanilla” (grass block icon) version you can launch through luner client, and everything works the same, just drag mods into the folder etc… The representative gave me these instructions if any of you need them:

  1. Open Lunar Client's version selector and click on the grass block icon on the top left.
  2. Once you do that, select the version you want to play on and click on the "Fabric" module.
  3. Press the ⚙️ button at the bottom right, then select the Mods tab at the top
  4. Drag your mods into the window

So that's basically them saying that they are tired of people complaining that their mods don't work. Great.

I mean the only difference (correct me if im wrong) is that now you won’t have the UI customization and “luner mods” options. But those are stuff you get with normal mods too you just have to add those. And playing the “vanilla” version through luner client still saves the hassle of modding the official launcher so im here for it :)
