Discussions improvements

I've never done any community building or moderation before so I'm sort of striking out in the dark here. I'd like to provide this as a thread for general feedback on the community elements of the project here: what I can add, what's not being utilized, and what isn't working.

In the near term I'm going to be doing some Issues cleaning/updating and building the Projects section into a more reliable roadmap.
