Describe the Bug
Trying to move to a new device and importing with covers crashes the app (my database might be too big though) and when I import via csv I can't change the covers. Same happens when I add a new book.

Switching back to version 2.0.6 brings back the expected behaviour. Probably something not right with the permissions?

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Add a new book or edit an existing one.
  2. Edit cover and choose a local file.
  3. No changes are made after choosing the file.

Expected behavior
After choosing a local file it should be previewed in the edit screen and after saving it should be used as the cover.

Additional info:
- App version: 2.0.8
- App source (F-Droid, Google Play, Github, AppStore): tried F-Droid, Google Play and Github
- Manufacturer and model: Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G
- OS and version: HyperOS 2.0/Android 14

I also noticed the bug. While it's not fixed, a workaround is to set the cover using the option to search it online with DuckDuckGo.
