On restart of matrix-puppet-hangouts, I get this in the Protocol room:

File "hangups_client.py", line 72
    task = asyncio.async(_async_main(example_coroutine, client, args))
                       ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

After further investigation, I've come across this comment.
