Using VNSee 0.4.1 on fw 2.9.0.136, I don't seem to be able to access any VNC server that is password protected. Tested with x11vnc and realVNC servers. x11vnc with -nopw works just fine, otherwise I get:
VNSee error:

and on the server:

However on my very first attempt I did get through, though I'm not 100% sure it was 0.4.1 on fw2.9 - I had a very short period of experimentation with my "new" reMarkable before the auto-update forced fw2.9 and I'm not sure if this was before or after that.
The password method I'm using on x11vnc is using the -rfbauth switch, which works fine on other clients.

It looks like you’re using the GUI to connect, which does not support password input. Have you tried starting VNSee from a shell to see if you’re able to connect to your server?
