This role albeit providing a good base, also contains a number of obvious issues, but no attention/time? (anymore) from original maintainer (though many issues fixed, see open PRs).
To move forward I would propose either:

  • original maintainer gives write perms to more motivated contributors: @savagegus ?
  • look for contributors motivated to centralize the many fixes in one (of their) forks

Hey Folks, everything for this project has been going into a black hole thanks to an aggressive gmail filter. It's clear I don't work on this and am not using it myself. I'm willing to turn it over to a couple folks, but I haven't done that before. Who should be the ones that step in to maintain this project?

Hello, we have a private repository with few improvements to the role inside the company (we stopped pushing pull requests when we saw there were no new commits here), including bringing it more up to date with recent ansible modules and various other improvements. The team is made by a few people, so it should guarantee continuity also if people enter/leave the company.

If that's okay for you, you can add me and @lhoss as contributors. We will start reviewing and merging pull requests and then add our improvements.

In the meanwhile we will prepare the hosted space on our company github account to host it officially (we have a policy for that). Is that ok for you?
