Image compression may be a rather useful feature to have in jekyll-asset-pipeline. Since jekyll-asset-pipeline preprocesses & compresses css & js, why not have it manage images as well?

There're a couple of utilities that can do this. For example, image-optimizer (haven't tried this yet).
