Record Button - timer

I use ArduSUB and QGroundControl operation my ROV.

When I use QGC to record video there is almost no distinction between RECORD and STOPP, only Red Circle vs. Red Box.. No change in color.. no timer.. !!
Would it be possible to have like change in color when you hit REC botton, or have a timer thats starts? Or even both?
