Auto collapse branches on changing tabs

Description

I noticed theres a feature to auto collapse/auto fold branches on selecting another branch, however, this does nothing upon making a new tab or changing to a tab without any children tabs. I don't know if I'm just missing something obvious, but this doesn't seem to be a feature as of yet, I am using the most recent nightly build on the newest stable release of firefox
