I am looking to use your OpenLAP simulator for a course project at University. I have been testing my generated car vs your provided F1 car, but it seems like the lap time for the provided F1 car is much too fast. Based on the numbers for the Formula 1.xlsx car, I assume the F1 car to be based on a 2009-2013 F1 car. However, when I run this sample car around the provided Spa-Francorchamps track or the provided Monza track, the resulting times are 7.5 to 8% faster than in real life. I will need to be closer than this for my project, so I was wondering if you could help me close this gap? Around Monza I get a time of 77.409 where the fastest qualifying lap there is 2013 84.755. For Spa, I get a time of 99.238 where the pole in 2009 was a 106.5. Let me know what you think about this discrepancy and how it could be resolved.
