The RIM-ONE DL dataset comes from the "Retinal Image Database for Optic Nerve Evaluation (RIM-ONE)," which has been further revised for the development of deep learning methods. This dataset includes 313 retinal images from healthy individuals and 172 retinal images from patients with glaucoma. All these images have been evaluated by two experts and include manual segmentation of the optic disc and optic cup.
RIM-ONE DL plays an important role and holds significant value. Firstly, it provides a reliable, publicly available dataset for assessing and validating the performance of deep learning models in retinal image analysis. Using this dataset, researchers and developers can more accurately evaluate their algorithms and models in diagnosing ophthalmic diseases like glaucoma.
