Possibility to apply patches after checkout

It would be nice if there was a way to apply patches / file changes to the cloned project after the checkout was done and before it is evaluated.
This way you can for example transform a Maven build to a Gradle build on the fly, or change some Gradle constructs if the included build is incompatible with the current Gradle version, and so on.
